Converting JPEG to Vector

The tutorial uses Adobe Illustrator. If you don’t have illustrator you can get your first month free when you sign up here.

If you increase the size of a JPEG or PNG image it will become blurry.

On the other hand, Vector files are scalable and editable.

If you do not have a vector version of your logo then you can use Adobe Illustrator to essentially trace your JPEG or PNG and give you a vector version that you can then scale and edit as much as necessary.

1. Open the file in Adobe Illustrator
2. Click on your image in the canvas
3. In the top menu bar, click Image Trace
4. You can now view the final result or just view the outlines

Inspect the image to ensure the vector matches the original. Try experimenting with the different Image Trace Presets to see which works best for your logo.
